First time vintage buyer... thoughts on these Omegas?

I am in the market for a vintage Seamaster. Well more specifically for my wife, she loves the look of Omegas from the 60s & 70s and figured this would make a nice birthday gift. I am new to the world of vintage watches though and would prefer to not get burned. I have been considering the following two options from chrono24, do either of these seem reasonable? Anything stand out as obviously replaced/fake? I am also open to any suggestions for other/better options currently for sale or where I should be focusing my search.

Thanks in advanced for humoring a complete newbie!

Both seem very over polished and overpriced. The crowns on both are replacements as well. If you want to be even more nitty gritty the second watch has a mark on the dial at 5 o'clock.

My advice would be to buy here on the private listings. The examples here are honest rather than most of the stuff on Chrono.

The thing about newbies browsing C24 is that they have no perspective. Sure, it seems like a massive marketplace at first glance, but at any given time, 99% of the watches on that site have been sitting unsold for months because they are unappealing, overpriced, or usually both. If you spend a few months watching the site, you'll recognize that, and also see that any good well-priced watch is gone in a flash. The same is somewhat true of our sales listings here, although good well-priced watches show up more often. Still, you need to keep your eyes open, and act quickly.

Always remember you are asking this question to collectors who may be way pickier on certain details than your wife. Generally we nitpick on things that 90% wouldnt notice.... my wife actually likes a polished case for example and wouldnt know a correct crown from any other. Know your wife and buy what she wants, not what collectors like is my advice. BUT pay attention to the advice given here and blend it with what you know she likes and you will do well.

Good Luck!

They are on Chrono 24, which explains why they are A) over polished, and B) over priced.
