Hello everyone

I am interested in buying a vintage watch for my fiancé. I was wanting to buy one from his birth year which is 1983 but I believe the watches made in this year were not the best. any advice would be most helpful

Have you consider Seamaster or Constellation from 60s? Very nice and clean watches!

Hi 1983, and welcome to the forum!

So let me get this straight......"Honey, I got you a watch! I wanted it to be your birth year but there's nothing good from 1983, so I got you a '62."

Just kidding around!
May we ask your budget? If funds allow there were some good ones in '83.
You could still get a Speedmaster "First Watch On The Moon" with the fine 861 manual movement in 1983.

What's you budget like? If it's big (well, above what I would be able to splurge on a watch), I'd suggest a Rolex instead of an Omega. The 80's weren't an especially interesting decade for watches… I'm a 1982 myself, so have been in a similar situation 🙁
