Can it go underwater with push of the button though?

Brosnan always liked adjusting his ties.

To the OP. I was kinda in the same boat in regards to Seamasters. Wanted them for a bit different reason (see pic above) In the end I put them on hold and got a "different Seamaster" Aqua Terra skyfall blue. It is different looks wise than what you listed above, but perhaps it may be what you are looking for in the end.

I was in your place a few years ago. I wanted an Omega watch as a wedding present from myself and since I saw the golden eye movie I always said I had to have the watch some day. So the search started and when I was about to pull the trigger on the SMP, Mr Kringkily got me an awesome deal on a brand new PO chrono and I fell for it.

Since then I started to buy nice watches and I´ve had a lot of them and ended up selling some and keeping others.
I was about to get the SMPc last week and again, I fell for a Blue titanium xl PO and don't regret it, it has become my favorite watch.

That Master Co-Axial is beautiful and we saw that in the shop but sold new, that is roughly £1.7K more than the Seamaster Professional 300M but only around £300 more than the Planet Ocean...

Argh, too many choices! 😀

I found that the ratio of the diameter vs depth on the new 43mm P.O. made it feel a little tall, like the 42mm. I think if you can wear the 45.5 this has a better feel. Subjective I know. But, the new master chrono is really nice!

I just realised too, the 300M Master does not have a Helium valve which would suit me fine. Argh!

So what was once a decision about a Seamaster 300M or a Planet Ocean is now:

Planet Ocean or 300M Master?
Planet Ocean Skyfall Edition or Planet Ocean with orange 12, 6 and 9?
Any Planet Ocean or a 300M Master?
Seamaster 300M Black or Blue?

This is is too much! 😀

I own a 42mm PO with orange numbers and I love it. This watch is amazingly accurate running at about -1 sec/3 days on my wrist. (About +2 sec/day when not worn.)

The only gripe I have about it is that it is still a substantial watch in terms of the weight and thickness of the case. You can resolve the weight issue with the rubber strap or getting a titanium bracelet to replace the original ss bracelet (which I am considering). But the watch is still very thick (or tall) at about 16mm, so it does not slide freely under the cuff of some dress shirts.

I also think the new SMP is really nice (though I'm not a big fan of the skeletonized hands). I own an older SMP with the wave dial in blue (mid size). This watch is much thinner than the PO, and I really like the "Bond" bracelet. When I bought it, I really wanted to have the blue dial. But if I were to buy the current model now, I would probably get the black dial because I think the black dial would go well with casual or more formal attire...

I really do not think you can go wrong with any of the watches you have in your mind. You should get what you like the most. 😀

Thank you for posting this picture. I am a big and tall guy and when I am lucky enough to have my shirt sleeves reach my hand, there's always plenty of space for a watch, so I have never really understood the complaints about watches not fitting under cuffs.

Oh, you're welcome. All of my dress shirts that I wear for work have regular barrel cuffs. Some cuffs are roomy and they will slide over the PO easily, but many cuffs are not so roomy and they tend to hang on the thick/tall case of the PO, though they still slide over the SMP without a hitch. This can be a concern for some people, depending on their normal attire.... My solution is to move the placement of the cuff bottom slightly to create more room for my watch hand.

Though I have not yet experienced this issue myself, but one of the sales reps at the OB told me that the sharp edges of the bezel on his PO (or the new SM 300m) started tearing the inner edge of the barrel cuffs of his dress shirts, so he started wearing shirts with the French cuffs....

I think I'm coming to the conclusion that I want a Seamaster 300M Co-Axial and although I found blue to be the most striking colour in person, I'm thinking black might be the one to go for.

The watch will come with the standard Bond bracelet but after enjoying my Tag Heuer F1 for the past year on a Nato, I ideally would love one for the Seamaster too. But as someone who loves official products over 3rd party, it would have to be an official Omega Nato for my new watch.

I took a look online and found a link below and love the 5 Stripe Black & Grey Nato and think it would go great with the Black Seamaster. But before I ask the retailer I'm thinking go buying from, does anyone know the RRP of this Nato in the UK?

I think it's something mental like £150. I have the black one on my speedy and it's really well made, but vfm? Is a tough one to justify.

£150 is a lot but if I ask for the retailer to get 1 or 2 in on the day I buy it, I think I'll ignore the price more than buying it separately months down the line. Thanks for the details!

Also, I'm being really dense here but VFM? 😀
