You put it there so don’t worry, just wait till you send it in for service. See the amount of marks that come back,
true ..................................... but very sadly true!!! 👎:whipped:

I'd prefer a lightly scratched watch to a lightly polished watch.

Got an email from the boutique on Friday

They received the new case from Omega and watch will be ready to collect sometime next week. They have done a full service and fixed the manual winding issue.

An Omega service (every 5-10 years) normally returns the watch like new and they send back any replaced parts (hands / crown). They also offer a vintage service I believe with more options. Some people prefer to use a local specialist for vintage watches to keep the character. For modern watches I would just let Omega or the watch maker deal with the case and not worry to give instructions. Some people run their watch a long time until an Omega service as the price is the same ..

I moved to Norway a few years ago, both my watches have been serviced by the Omega service centre in Norway, neither have been returned polished or with the parts they have replaced included.

Unless you asked them not to polish the watches, they didn't do the job correctly. Omega does return replaced parts typically, so it's unusual to hear that they didn't.

Haha maybe I'm just being OC or because the watch is a few months old but I really can't unsee it and I keep thinking that it is small enough that I might just be able to fix it.

You're not being OC just a bit pedantic over the case - stop it. Stop it now. You have been told. Enjoy the watch, it's a beauty, and get on with it as the next scratch will come soon enough - and always when you are not expecting it. 😁.

Sell watch, buy another one if it is upsetting you. But when you get a scratch on the new one you will need to sell and buy another.

Jokes aside scratches, dings, marks are inevitable like death and taxes.

it can be strange when your watch picks up a scratch without any obvious contact but after a few they don't matter
Exception is bezel on aquanauts, royal oak etc
They are so obvious you can't ignore!
