Beautiful watch. Congrats!! My everyday watch is a 3186 16570. Like you, I appreciate how understated the watch is and that it doesn't scream Rolex.

Can someone link me to the photo thread of the explorers outdoors please? I can’t seem to find it.

Evening (UK) all,

I’m finally able to post in this section..! 😁

I’ve been lucky enough to get my grail watch.

2001 - P serial
3185 Movement
Original Box & Papers
Correct bracelet for year.

Also, as far as I can see - it has never been near a polishing wheel (maybe a cloth)

The condition of the watch is unreal, it’s basically unworn - no stretch in the bracelet and no desk diving scratches. I’d class it as ‘as new’ in my own opinion.

I cannot express how over the moon I am.

there will be more pictures added as the days go on 😁
Still happy for you!

Congrats! 16570 has so much nicer proportions than newer 42mm explorer II

It definitely does - around 5 years ago I almost bought a 216570 polar dial, back when they were actually in AD shop windows. I’m so glad I left it at the AD. Looking back, the proportions were all wrong for me.

Congratulations. The first Rolex is always special. I just purchased my first one back in December.
