So diso does not like Hublot.... I'm a fan of the watches but the pricing is just 💰

but nevertheless since I bought my first Omega, Seamaster Americas Cup Chrono I'm hooked, other watches have come and gone but Omega's have a special calling for me...

The Darkside Of The Moon is no different!

Probably right about a price point between stainless steel and 18k gold. This one will probably have a MSRP in the $15-20k range.

I hope it will be lower and closer to the pricing for the titanium models which would make it somewhat more affordable but that's still a relative term. The other question would be availability - will this be a boutique only model or will it be available for general distribution.

I like it, but its going to be wildely expensive, 10k is my guess. A more economical option is the new '57 Speedy which is also a stunner.

Speedmaster Dark Side Wrist Shot taken by Robert-Jan of fratellowatches.com, he should have some new articles up before long so keep an eye on Fratello for updates!

RJ also mentioned pricing at $10,000 CHF

10K CHF I thought it would be more works out at around £6,900 if vat is included (I get the tax back at the airport) it's on my list!

thats only 8% in CH. I claim the VAT back when i leave the UK so it makes it a better deal.

they will also quote the price with CH sales tax as they have to

The strap doesn't hold up on the live shots..but wow is that ever Beautiful!!!

I can't wait to try this one on!..

In my opinion - Omega stole the Show at Basel...

Rolex mildly has my interest with the SS YM2...I need to try them both on to decide...It looks like they will be similar in price...but I imagine the Rolex to be ~2-3k more...

The real problem with the YM2 is it's quite possibly the most useless ever complication, and this is coming from a former competitive sailor. If you get a high grade Citizen, TAG or Seiko to last more than 3 months on the water, you're extremely lucky...

And countdowns to race starts are typically 5 minutes rather than 10.

And the moment of the race start you don't want to be looking at your watch, you want an alarm going off so you know exactly when your bow can cross the line without incurring penalty.

Ha! I agree 100%... When I first tried on the WG YM2 I thought, wow this is great...if only I could tell time with it. Because I honestly just get confused looking at the dial...and would have no use for the complication...and yet I love that watch...

I also have little use for a GMT or tachymetre function ...but somehow can't live without them...

come to think of it....my cell phone has the time on it.....

I live and run two businesses in two countries so the Rolex GMTII was a no brainer for me, the GMT also has a third time zone using the bezel also. The YM on the other hand, I love the SS version but would never go out and buy it as I have no use!
