Long time fan, now finally an owner. I've been saving for a while, and picked up a 1986 Seamaster auto from a new acquaintance in my hometown. Box and papers included, and the watch looks brand new (to me at least). Very happy about my first purchase. Brought it home ASAP and knocked out a few links, this thing probably won't leave my wrist until I graduate and spoil myself with a speedy. Thanks for the forum, I look forward to chatting!

Welcome! Love these 80’s Seamaster’s, very underrated but they are starting to get some love. If it hasn’t seen a watchmaker in the last decade or two you should get it in for a service. All the oils inside are probably dry as a bone.

Yea I love it! Supposedly had a service from a local shop in the last 5-ish years. Going to wear it for a bit and see how it runs. Maybe I’ll treat it to a spa day soon just for good measure.
