After a turbulent relationship with my FOIS 😗, i sold it about a month ago. Few weeks was fine, then i regreted it.. :whipped:nothing new 🤦
So i asked the buyer if he was happy with his new purchase, and he told me he just bought another Moonwatch brand new and that my one had some scratches on the underside of the lugs, which he wasnt fond of so i asked politely if i could buy it back if he doesnt want to keep it, and he agreed on the same price 🙄
So my baby is back on my wrist rocking for the past few days ::psy::

Edit:
The question is, is it still considred a one owner watch? since i am the original owner and have the receipt on my name.. 😁

Chapeau! as they say round here.

I don't think I could sell mine, whether or not my Snoopy ever arrives. I had the chance to try on the new Zenith Chronosport recently, and while it was very nice and technically impressive and super legible, it didn't charm me in the sane way.

That's the only 2 Omegas I own at the moment.

Not sure whether cold would do it, unless there is already a problem with the seal. I recently took my FOIS skiing, and it performed perfectly. Temps hovered around -5 and bottomed out around -16 C with a nasty wind chill on the final day. Didn't;t notice anything untoward moving from chilly outside to warm inside, alongside pretty big swings in humidity.

Does seem to warrant further checking out. Hopefully there are positive resolutions to this problems.
I would bet on seals not being in proper condition. It shouldn't get cendensation inside I think. Did you get the water resistance checked? Maybe a seal was pinched during assembly

I think you're meaning to respond to the OP -- nothing wrong with my FOIS, and IIRC the owner in question has already had it checked out.

Was it mine? Yeah I returned it and got a full service, replaced the crown and seals. Seems to be good now but does make me worry about using the crono outside or even winding it outside. I get quite big temp swings here in winter and the weather is rather damp.

I like mine but I'm actually thinking about moving on from it.
I just traded my FOIS + $2,500 cash to an AD for the new 3861 hesalite on bracelet. The new watch won’t be in until March but I did get to try on the strap version and really liked it.

Uncle Seiko

Thanks for posting pics. Really like the look of the Uncle Seiko flat link bracelet on your FOIS. It really suits the watch. May I ask if you ordered yours online and if so, what price should I be looking at? Very tempted to get one for my own FOIS even though I still like the original leather strap. Maybe I'll get one when the leather strap finally gives up the ghost.

I have question for more knowledgable users on here. Is this a scratch on the crystal or a mark on the seconds sub dial?
I noticed it last week as its only visible at certain angles and lighting. Quite tricky to photograph but compiled a few shots below. Sometimes it looks like a shadow on the dial but then it can also look like a mark on the dial face as it’s not visible when the hands pass over. I’ve had the watch for about 3 weeks now and didn’t notice anything when I first got it so I’m assuming I must of scratched or marked the AR coating somehow 🙁 There seems to be no visible mark on the crystal surface itself though.

For the record, I don't consider myself an expert on these matters but it does look like something on the small seconds sub dial, especially in the lower left hand photo. It's almost like a stain or watermark of some sort. Or maybe an uneven coat of paint on the dial? If your watch is still under warranty, I'd take it back to Omega to get it checked out and rectified.

@Archer Can you help shed some light here?

It does look like a mark on the dial to me.
If the cause was the crystal, then on different light angles the position of the shadow would vary, doesnt seem to be the case here. I would bring it back and show to the AD you bought it from.
Good luck!

Thanks for the input. In normal times I would just head back to the AD and get them to check it out but being in lockdown here means that's not possible. I will get in touch with them and send them those pics and see what they say.

It looks like a mark on the dial to me, different angles, this is not a light or glass problem. The main problem when you spot wrong is that you will only notice it again and again. Good luck.

Uncle Seiko also offers a BoR bracelet specifically for the FOIS, which I have been considering. Typically they are less than $100 USD
