·I have a FOIS and although I believe it looks better than the standard Speedmaster, I would probably get the new 3861-based version if I was buying today.

looking forward to putting them side by side but I think I’m going to end up with the Pro. I just like the slim-ness of it more.

·Well, got my 3861 yesterday and I love it. Slimmer, a bit larger across my wrist and the bracelet is surprisingly great. Thanks for all the help - the FOIS didn't really feel quite right on me but the Pro is perfect. Very happy!

·Congratulations! Glad you found a new one for a good price.
That OEM strap on the FOIS darkens with age, and I think you'll enjoy it all the more once it's worn in. For deployant clasps, I'm not sure you'll find any that taper from 19 to 18. 16 will look fine on a dressier chronograph like this, with its fully polished lugs and a sapphire crystal.
I wear my FOIS with a Napa leather Omega NATO strap with pin buckle. Pricey but gorgeous.

Love it! I think the Sapphire model on the 3861 is a good choice.
Is there AR on the sapphire glass?
