I participated at the event in Milan and it was an extraordinary experience!
I signed up for this one too. Me and one friend from Bergamo. I hope we'll be there in Biel.

Writing “Speedy Tuesday” next to a picture of an Alaska Project is tantamount to abusive behavior

I guess they didn't point out any specific Omega Speedmaster subject that will get attention during this event ?
Maybe, although #SpeedyTuesday isn't solely space-related, the Omega-Privateer partnership mapping space debris?

Cue the theories.

fyi this does not mean a new watch is coming.

Indeed, not a new watch presentation... giving exact details works both sides; an interesting presentation might trigger huge number inscriptions while a lesser known subject can do the opposite.

However, around those days (end April-begin May) Omega can celebrate (in order of "importance"):
25 years Omega X-33
10 years #SpeedyTuesday
10 years Omega X-33 Skywalker
50 years Apollo 16
60 years Chuck Maddox
2 years Seamaster Ultra Deep (Victor Vescovo & Kathryn Sullivan)
.

Well, there might not have been any major announcements at this event, but it is still very much one of the greatest watch events I've ever attended. Lovely people, interesting talks, factory visit and chats with Omega management, enthusiastic Fratelli and last but not least, loads of watches to handle.

A welcoming speech

Quite some gold to be handled...
Some white gold...

(Spot the differences between Omega's and my own...)

Some platinum...

And nope... this one is not a re-edition. This is the real thing. 😀

In short; I'd certainly stay tuned to any future Speedy Tuesday events; they're worth it!
