·Mostly one day events (the one in Biel was 2 days at Omega HQ), only travel/stay is at your own expense.
After that, cocktails and dinner, all on the Fratello/Omega house… and you eventually leave with a bag filled with a few swags.

·I follow a watch conversation at a Naval military aviation site and it appears that there has been some recent indications by Omega, in touch with squadrons, that a new Speedmaster would be available for squadrons to do custom watches with. Since military squadrons have access to the X-33 for custom case backs maybe it is not out of the realm of possibility that a new X-33 type watch is in the works to could also be used by squadrons for custom watches.
I was actually wondering if they were not going to make Seamasters with squadron case backs available to the military as well. 👎

@MTROIS Here is the post form the site I was referencing. It appears to a be a Speedamaster model whether a mechanical watch or a revamped X-33 it really isn't specific.
"Howdy there, I've been working with the head of retail for swatch in the US on getting a speedy for my squadron. They are revamping their military accounts and there is a new custom speedy coming that will only be available to naval aviators from my understanding. It will be a pretty similar deal to bremont / breitling (around 15 minimum order for customization and in a similar price point). Sounds like the licensing with DON is all good now as well, which was part of the delay from my understanding. He originally said it would be unveiled in July, but then came back and said it would be delayed until the Tailhook convention. From the quick glimpse I saw of the prototype, it looked pretty awesome and worth the wait."
Tailhook was a couple of weeks ago so maybe something shows up soon. Who know, but speculation is always fun.
