NOT trying to be cocky in any way… but I must admit that I have been quite pleased by the quality displayed by Les Bleus so far!
Always an achievement to defeat the Socaroos and our Danish friends.
Not sure how far we will get since we have so many players missing due to injury, but we will take the games one at a time.

Glad to see US vs Wales a tie… As an American you still had to root for Wales. Esp if your part Welsh 😉

had hopes for US vs England alas that was a tie.

Our first WC goal ever, but unfortunately the defense fell apart after 20 minutes. They are playing a world class team in Croatia. We’re eliminated but hopefully we can get our first win next Wednesday.

Yeah, all downhill after min 2 but still a great moment for CA football on the international stage. 2 N. America teams still alive at least though MX needs a win and some help to get through. US at least has a win-and-in scenario.

Cameroon vs Serbia was a cracker 😁.

Sadly, that’s the last of the prime time matches for me - most matches from here on in are either 2AM or 5AM, so I’d better get some early nights.

Congratulations to all the Australians. A well-deserved win for their team against a powerhouse like Denmark. That was a tough group to qualify out of.

Not sure Denmark qualify as a powerhouse in footballing terms, they are OK and have a few world class players, but well done Australia, a good result for them.

Ranked 10th in the world one above Germany is not an easy chore.

It’s been a good football tournament so far, gap between nations gets smaller each time. Hard to say who’s going to win this one, Come on England.
Next time 48 teams in groups of 3 with 2 to qualify!!! Can only be to help the lower ranked teams progress and develop. Personally I’d have liked it to stay 32 teams but spread the game they must
FIFA as dark and corrupt in there ways as an organisation like the FSB!!

UR got sorta screwed on the non-penalty call but hey, that’s sports.

Looking forward to tomorrow, hoping to see another upset and another top EU team out. 😗

Also I am curious, can anyone from Spain or Morocco comment on the rivalry, or lack of, between the 2 countries? Geographic neighbors are often rivals, is this an extra-spicy matchup because of that or just a normal RO16 match?
