FB-504 vs Bergeon 6111: any difference?

    Ofrei sells the first at quite a discount compared to the second, claiming that they are pretty much the same. Can anyone confirm?

    I haven’t used the Ofrei generic but I can say that the Chinese made replicas on eBay are hot garbage, one or the ends snapped off and got me in the eye while using a normal amount of pressure on it and they both slip out since the collars don’t really do anything to secure the bit, and tend to rust since they’re made of pig iron not stainless steel

    Whatever the discount is, I would still get Bergeon.

    With tools of all types, my mantra is that you generally get what you pay for. I would always pay more for the brand named item.

    A Bergeon 6111 isn't *that* expensive. A strap would cost more.

    Do the *buy once and never again* choice.
