I got this for half what they sell for maybe due to the dial. The dial original but maybe refinished looks different than most. But for the price I guess I did OK. Maybe I might send it out and get it refinish right or wear it like it is. The dials on these are normally in very bad shape due to water damage. Atleast the dial not an eye sore.

Surely you are joking. Of course some dials have degraded, but I would say more typically due to radium burn and/or sun exposure, than water infiltration.

I have owned several, including those with excellent dials. I saw the listing for yours, and agree that it was favorably priced. I believe that the dial may be original, and an uncommon variation, though likely re-lumed.

Congrats.

Thanks Tony the seller was sure it was an uncommon dial just might keep it this way since there a possibility its original was thinking refinishing it to look like what you normally see. I seen a lot more bad than good dials on these but seen good ones. Just thought water damage but they are heavily lumed so you are probably right lume cause some dials to look that way.

This is the first watch I bought where I will get hit with a tariff the price was so good I took the chance. What would be the tariff be on a watch coming from Canada to the USA guess it's a Swiss watch so a Swiss tariff?

Last time I bought a Swiss watch it was 15.5% tariff. That was from Japan.

Found a tariff calculator where you put country its coming to the value and shipping cost was like 67 bucks if it's that it won't bother me.

but if it's 15.5% tariff it will be 170 dollars that will suck.

Favre Leuba company still around sent them a message about the dial. Wonder if they keep records of their watch dial design. Will see if I get a reply.

Given the quality of the signature and model, if it's a redial, I'd like the artist's contact information. 馃榾

Did get a reply from Favre Leuba. Sent them photos of the dial waiting to hear back from them their thoughts on the dial. Also bought one of these for the watch. Should look good on it.

The hour marks the only lume the hour dots and it matches the hands. Both the hands and dots might be an older lume job?

Well got the tariff bill from FedEx 269.30 for a 1100.00-dollar watch thought Canada had a 10% tariff it was like I was charged 24%. Funny thing the bracelet I bought from another Canadian seller came by USPS and no tariff.
