Just over 3 years ago I purchased a non working early 16750 as a project watch with one hell of a history. Last week I had an email from the lady I purchased it from to say that she had these! To say that I am gob smacked is an understatement, at the time she did mention that the guy had the papers, box etc somewhere but that he was getting on in age and could not locate them!! I gave up hope a while after when it looked like they could not be found. The bits were apparently all over the place in loads of different locations hidden away on his house boat! Great early Christmas present and a couple of quick pics, before and after and the early Christmas presents.

Did the bezel insert reach you in this state? Previous owner must have “Brandoed” it immediately and left the bezel in the box ever since. Amazing!

Part of the history with the watch was that the first owner was in the French Foriegn Legion and he used the watch as a knuckle duster!

Hope you sent them some bottles of good wine 😁
This is awsome, happy for you.
Waiting for the same to happen. First owners rolex, certificate was in the bank safe. Now it seems gone. Waiting for 3 years now and still hoping it pops up 😁

Wow, amazing! Did they ask for (or did you offer) more money?
