I’m a newbie myself and hesitant about the case back as you say, in combination with dials.
    Really appreciate all your help!

The seller says he’s willing to meet up to verify authenticity.

    Anyone else more experienced?

That's a very long minute hand.
Are you able to get a photo of the movement and inside case back?

    He won’t share (warning bells)!

He says it works great and the inside ‘looked’ fine during a pressure test 6 months ago.

    Agree on the minute hand!

Hour and minute hands look quite new, right?
    Compare with the second hand.

Someone who knows exactly what they're talking about will be along soon, I'm sure.

    It's a mumbai watch. 14731 is'nt a 30. A certain indian seller sells these dials a lot.

Unless there are pics of the movement or actual authorized verification, I’d say it’s a well put together watch that shows no signs of wear in it’s almost 60 years of life on earth. Meaning, I’d bet that most of it is not original. Mid-case and crown “may” be, but the rest is sketchy. Dial super clean and hands brand new on a watch this old...possible...caseback wrong as well and toss in the fact that the seller can meetup to prove it’s real? Too many ?’s when looking at a watch to purchase online and I move along.

Authentic watches like there aren’t the cheapest. I remember seeing them starting 1,500 usd and pushing towards 3,000 some time ago. For authenticated pieces in great condition.

Edit: just spoke with a smith about this one. He said a lot are refinished dials but the majority of the time not done by Omega. So you never know what exactly you are getting with these especially with so many fantasy variations out there: i.e. a dial and watch setup that never was actually produced by a company.
