Is the case refinished? I think the small ring around the crystal should be polished not brushed. Anyway nice hummer.

You're correct. It had a light refinsih. It does however need a service, so I'll get that face polished when that occurs, though it's far less noticable than the photos show

I have to say I really like these Mosabo ESA 9162/64 movements as fitted by a host of names back then. I've had a few down the years. With a decent service from time to time these can be very robust watches. I've had a couple of Omega(who produced the most of these by some margin. To the degree they got ESA to give a different finish to the top plate), an Eterna, an IWC and a couple of Longines. I've only the one left now, which is the Longines diver. Here it is with another hummer.

What I found puzzling about Omega was they had by far the widest choice of case and dial designs with this movement, but for some reason they almost always used the exact same handset in black or white.😕

No doubt you folks have seen this contemporaneous advert.

The prices on these old adverts are interesting. The f300 is a little more expensive than the PloProf and not too far off double the price of a Speedy. How times have changed. 😲 😀

I love hummers and think the tuning fork genre is incredibly interesting....from the technical advance at the time to the sweep of that second hand.
To that end, I have aquired an Omega f300 and an Accutron RR 218 and delighted with both.
I am sorely tempted to aquire another Omega f300 which has been serviced and looks great. However, this one is pricey, perhaps reflecting the service, new battery and crystal.
Is there anything I should be checking/concerned about...oiling, copper plates, friction wheel lubrucation or anything else?
Any knowlesable member's thoughts would be appreciated.
Thanks.

And genuine asymmetrical bracelet ends. Very nice. Didn't even know, that they exist.
Thank you for that very interesting information, embarrassed to say I was unaware of the fact that they are correct asymmetrical bracelet ends. I like the watch even more now! I have had this Accutron for four years now and it is running consistently at -1 second per day. The bracelet ends are marked with the number 4.

You can null out that -1 second quite easily! I've done it on my own but your watch is so nice, I'd ask the watchmaker to do it.

Constellation. I particularly like the red date wheel. Probably not original but it makes the watch more ... snazzy

I like my Cone with stunning anthracite dial.

Lovely watch, I have one of these. I have a question, mine has no seamaster markings on the back. I've only seen a couple of backs of the 2 o'clock ones, are they all like this?

Wow thanks for posting this. Fascinating to see where the F300hz series of watches ran pricewise.

My cone has the Seamaster caseback.
Is it the 2 o'clock or the 3o'clock?
I have a 3 o'clock with seamaster back, but I have seen 2o'clocks without.
