I have a growing fondness for a Hummer too. This one belongs to a friend. I believe it is quite rare. The case is heavy, solid gold and weighs quite a bit. I think the cases were made in England for the UK market only.

Then there's this one... very modern looking with it's grey dial...

And there's this one, comes in a full set... with inner and out boxes that smell fantastic. And I love the hum that comes out of the cupboard every time you open it.

Here's mine. It's a nice watch to wear, when you can... mine seems to spend more time on the other halfs wrist than mine. Can't complain though. Looks good on her.

One of my favorite models, this reference has teased and taunted me on just about a daily basis in my eBay emails saying BUY ME. It pushes all my buttons - Constellation, yep, chunky, yep, funky, yep, TV dial, yep. I like the ones with the blue dial, too.

A bit off topic but this makes me think I have a "You and your Omega" booklet for a F300Hz watch - if somebody has a Speedmaster-relevant equivalent we might have a trade 😀

Still this one. Thrilled to finally enjoy it after replacing the faulty plastic date ring. Thanks to a helpful vendor in Mannheim, Germany. Ain't the internet wonderful? Buffalo hide strap which I quite like.

I love these, but see a lot of them on ebay described as "not working". I read through the link to Electricwatches above, and it looks like there are some pretty common problems with these watches. Would you consider them a risky buy that could break down frequently? Or are they pretty reliable with a few outliers?

Where are you in the world? If you are within easy postal reach of Elec-W or any of the other specialists in these then there are no worries. If you are in Ulan Bator then perhaps you should be more cautious. The watches are inherently reliable, more so perhaps than mechanical models but the number of people willing and able to work on them is dwindling fast.

Like @padders mentioned, the watches aren't fragile in everyday use but a typical watchmaker poking inside would probably do more harm than good. It's a specialized movement requiring specialized skills.

I wish I found those attractive. The lobster Speedsonic is nice, though.

Not pristine, but reliable, and still looking good!

Interesting, thanks for the info @padders . I'm in Canada, but sometimes it feels like it may as well be Ulan Bator as far as shipping goes!

Does anyone know where I can find an end-link for an Omega Lobster Bracelet (ref: 1212203)? I have found only 1 full bracelet on ebay. The watch is in pristine condition but one of the end links has disconnected from the watch (pictures below). If anyone knows how to fix this, if its a easy fix, please let me know that also. I don't live near an omega boutique and I don't want to send my watch off if i don't need to.

I have approx 60 of these Omega hummers, both f300 and Megasonic, two of them are Speedsonic. And one of the Megasonic has the lobster bracelet you are showing. What exacly has come of? Can you post a picture of the other side of the endlink? Here is one of the Megasonic:
