I do have some rare hummer examples too:

Tian Jin:

Citizen GX:
Love that green dial of the GX.
Looks like you have a pretty rare Chinese hummer as well. According to that article referenced earlier the Yin Cha Biao is rarer than rocking horse s***! (Paraphrasing there a little)

NUTS!

It happened again. Sorry about the above post, just a quote with no reply on my part.

It happened to me before.

I didn’t mean to reply but my ipad screen bounced around loading adverts. I was trying to move to the next page but the screen thought I touched the reply button.

Anyway, sorry about that. Mods, please delete if you wish.

I’ve become a fan of the great deals produced by Omega and Seiko but the dial on this Rado Electrosonic might just take the cake.
Note: I’ve bought the watch and waiting for it to arrive but this image lifted off the net (from watchcarefully.com I think, lost track)
I know I’m going to lose a few hours trying to photograph the sapphire crystal when it arrives.

And the guy who I bought the Rado from (complete with tungsten carbide case, original bracelet etc) has another, but I’m trying to cut down purchases to two a month . Anyone interested I can send you his details

And here’s the Rado Electrosonic. The dial has applied inverted tuning fork indices and is very cool. The six-faceted sapphire crystal is incredible to look at and the tungsten carbide case is remarkable for nigh on 50 years old. Finally, a real tool watch!! Something I can wear to work and not scratch.

Now that is a rare beast.

Indeed. For several reasons in my opinion :
- given the quality of the varnish on the coils assembly, most of them probably are dead now
- the watch was somehow confidential and didn’t raise that much interest apart from hard core collectors (like me)
- it’s not easy to find and buy them with the language barrier
- all Tian Jin watches look the same. Mechanical, quartz, tuning fork. Same case, same hands, same dial. Easy to overlook AND not that interesting to collect ;-)

I have managed to get hold of several pieces and am going through them so as to restore some for other collectors who want to save this small piece of history.
