Believe it or not, in Colorado it is legal to shoot at a fleeing felon. Still not a good idea if your life or others are not in danger.

Colorado is still in many ways the wild west.
I remember being in the Vail area on business for a couple weeks some years ago, the local newspaper had stories about ranchers shooting at each other over someone’s cows crossing the wrong river; not to mention the lady ranch owner who shot her lover. It was summertime, so much for the posh ski resort with the Louis Vuitton and Prada stores.
