Re. the refund : hang on to it ... for the next questionable pile of parts that look like a Speedmaster ... Im happy to keep my 'investment' rolling ...
info directly from ^ Omega Museum ^. They told me that the watch is 100% original and comes out of them, it was a gift given to their customer who in turn raced it to a friend who then sold it. Now at Omega they are very angry because it shouldn't have ended up in the auction. They also tell me that it was designed to celebrate the city's courage in getting up after a tragic moment, so it encouraged courage.
Now waiting their extract of archive
Tks
Lets see what the general consensus is.
this makes no sense ate all...
a gift from Omega to their customer who turned the face red... according to the case back there should be 27 'gifts' of the same issue prior to this one as this is number 028 and i'm sure they wouldn't have stuck a random number on there!
UPDATE:
Just got the email from Omega - Extract cannot be issued by Omega. A refund will be given. I am happy to refund everyone as the funds are still sat in PP until the issue of the extract which we now know won't happen.
Proof from Omega:
Happy for you to donate it. I think one of our members has a movember/Oris campaign going so you could donate to that. Just an idea
If the vast majority decide to go down the donate route I will donate it to cancer charity McMillan as my sister is currently undergoing chemotherapy.
