I am reluctantly selling a few pieces from my own collection to fund a building project.

Here we have a Pre-Moon Speedmaster Professional, Case reference 145.022-69, Serial Number 30.580.*** in exceptionally good condition. Confirmed by the Omega museum as delivered to Switzerland in June 1970 and recently returned from a full service by Simon Freese, a renowned specialist watchmaker, and comes with the remainder of the years warranty.

The step dial is perfect a far as I can see and the original tritium lume has beautifully aged;
The hands are undamaged and have pleasing coloured original tritium lume.
The glass is unmarked and has the early Omega logo in the centre;
The bezel is unmarked and perfect
The crown is unmarked;
The case back has the lightest of marks and is correctly stamped 145.022-69 (just in case you thought it might be a service item!)
The case is razor sharp, unpolished and original, there is a ding on one lug (visible in the photo of the underside of the watch on the top right lug) but otherwise only has the lightest of marks. (The case is original late 60's one not a service case.)
Movement is clean and freshly serviced by Simon Freese and works in all functions.

It should be noted that, according to MWO, the type b1 (don) bezel should be fitted on watches up to serial 30.588..., this one has a 30.580 serial number and is fitted with the b2 bezel. However given that it is extremely close to the observed number of changeover and that the condition of the bezel matches the same superb condition of the rest of the watch I would think it is likely correct.

The watch will come with your choice of two straps from those shown (if you prefer something else just ask.)

Vintage Speedmasters in this condition very rarely come to market. It has the additional benefit of the recent service by S Freese and confirmation from Omega that the movement left the factory fitted to a Speedmaster in June 1970.
Offers around £6500 GBP (net) with U.K. postage included or worldwide delivery by DHL for £35. Any questions please PM me.

The photos were all taken in natural light at various times of day and with different backgrounds.

Thank you for your time.

Beaty of a watch and write up, superb pics. Since you have an extract and detail on the SN / movement, folks here will expect to see pics of both and the inside caseback. I get why you may be reluctant to open it after a service but watches sell better with complete information.

Sorry to post on a sales thread but I think Simon takes photos of the movement and case back pre- and post- service so should be able to ask him.

Beautiful watch.

Thank you for the kind comments. I think you’re right about the need for movement and inside case back shots, I’ll get those done. Btw, I don’t have a full printed out extract, a friend was kind enough to check the serial number in the archive and give me the info, which is all that matters really.
