I have a 25 year old quartz ladies dress watch that was rarely worn. I want to wear it more often but the watch does not run, even with a new battery. The ETA movement is no longer made. So I need someone to repair the existing movement or get a new one. Omega service center wants too much money. From Austin, Tx.

Welcome to OF. Out of curiosity, how much was too much money from Omega? Just trying to get a sense of your expectations.

They will service the watch for $600-650. Then add parts as needed.

My husband had his Rolex serviced for $300. But that watch repairman cannot get Omega parts.

I've worked with govbergwatchrepair.com on 2 mechanical watches and they have been great. I don't know what they will charge you for repairing/replacing the movement though.

That’s most likely more than the watch is worth.
