Will look great with a leather strap of the right width.
I might try it. But I am a sucker for Bonklips 😀

I also wanted to present my Eterna-Matic Centenaire here after showing it in yesterday's WRUW - here's a good place to go a bit more into detail ;-)

It's a Reference No. 765, in an 18k gold case produced by Serva SA in La Chaux-de-Fonds, with the 1438U automatic movement (21 jewels, quick-change date) that was introduced in 1959. The serial number dates it to 1962. The original Eterna bracelet is still in presentable & wearable condition, the original gold-plated buckle did suffer a bit, though. The crown is still original, too - all in all, I would think the watch has been worn a few short years, then stashed in a drawer when the original wearer replaced it with an end-of-the-1960s Omega.

The picture of the movement below is before the service.

31mm wide, 41mm lug-to-lug, 20mm lug width. Very wearable size, I like it.

Black dial Eterna Matic Vision with amber brown leather strap, with matching tiger eye bead bracelet*.

*No watches were harmed in the taking of these pictures 😜 not a huge fan of wearing bracelets (with potentially scratchy material) and watches side by side.

Currently really happy with and fascinated by my 3000, even if it will need a bit of service eventually.

Bumping this thread with a new arrival, and early Kontiki with Explorer-dial and engraved case-back raft.

Very nice! Beautiful dial.
That’s a keeper!
Now find a correct bracelet for it

Very happy to join again the club by acquiring this beautiful gold on stainless steel Centenaire 61 with linen dial. The original crystal will need a bit of polishing, but it lloks great already 😀
