I'm a big fan of This Minor Brand...
sometimes I'd like to say that it is a poorman's OMEGA 😜

Lets see my Centenaire 18K

gorgeous piece. Lovely brand and massively underloved I agree!

I have a cheap hidden crown Eterna-Matic incoming with some unusual features. I'm unsure if the dial is original (printed logo, tritium T's without lume), but I'm hoping it is. I also haven't seen these chunky hands before.

I have seen only 1 other example of these "ball-bearings in orbit" casebacks? Any idea of the significance or if it was made for a specific market? The watch is coming from Japan.

Cheers

Just purchased this. It is the third watch I have purchased from this very good, responsive seller. I have no reason to think the watch has been misrepresented by the seller. My question is about the use of cal.1429U in Eterna chronometers. Last night, and a couple of days ago, I did a fairly time consuming search for information concerning what movements were used in Eterna chronometers. I was not able to find anything definitive on 1429U, but was unable to find anything on any specific movements used in Eterna chronometers. Thought I would put the subject before the group. Any wisdom on the topic is appreciated.

Thank you for your indulgence.

Wayne

I have recently found an almost identical watch. It was not expensive, but looks quite worn (and has no original crown or crystal)...

I got the watch for £625 a bit of a gamble on a non runner but it looked top condition and has a lovely box. hoping 1500k movement is so close to eta 2892 that repairs are easy.

I meant to ask the case back. has a stamp of a small schild set of arms as well as the poincon and helvetia - any ideas why?
