I have inherited a nice watch lately but haven't found any information on the internet about this model. So I decided to ask you watch enthusiasts out there for help. Does anyone know the name of this watch, when it was build and how much I can ask for if I decide to sell it? Thanks so much in advance!

One would describe this as a "cushion case". Yours is gold plated (heavily worn) with a stainless steel back.

Not much more to say, not particularly valuable especially in this condition.

Search eBay SOLD listings for market value.

Hello! First you need to open the caseback, normally you have the reference model inside, and you’ll have the serial number on the movement, I’ve made a test once, it’s approximately correct (but there aren’t lot of other sources)…

Eterna.Matics are good watches. Coincidentally I’m wearing one today. The defects in yours are pretty obvious but if you like it, it’s worth getting it serviced and a new generic crystal.

But don't have it serviced if you are going to sell it. The cost of the service will be substantially more than the value of the watch. Of course, if the watch has sentimental value to you, that is a different story.

Thanks for your answer! Are you sure it is only gold plated?

As is you may get $50 for it. Brassed case, cracked crystal, generic cown, head only, unpopular case, unserviced.

On the other hand, you may find that it runs quite well. I recently got a 1960s Eterna that kept great time despite lack of service for decades. If the sentiment is strong you could address most or all the above, just a matter of dollars.
Mine all fixed up may be worth $300 on a good day.

And worth that or more all day long as it's double signed by a respected retailer 👍
