Hi all, Due to a recent Ingenieur purchase, I am listing my Eterna Kontiki for sale. This is one of the first generation models with the classic triangular lume plots and uncommon date window. First some wrist shots in various light settings. The dial is very tropical brown and shows well in all light settings. The tone varies from dark brown in low light to light brown in direct light. The gilt lettering on the dial provides a nice contrast. The lume in the dial and hands is original radium and was tested with a medical Geiger-Mueller counter. It glows when exposed to UV light and fades off very quickly. The case is the classic 34mm variety. It was polished at some point in the past but retains its shape and lines. The serial number is clearly visible on the back. 4.4 million would date this watch to around 1959/1960. The caseback shows some superficial tool marks. The crown is original. The movement appears clean and has been running well for me. This is a convenient quick set date - you pull the crown all the way back to advance the date. I don't know the service history so a service would be recommended if you intend to wear the watch daily. The current strap is a very short custom strap so the watch will be sold head only. To the listing photos! For this uncommon tropical Kontiki, I am asking $1,600 which will include shipping in the USA. International deals are gladly welcome and will ship at cost to buyer. Transferwise preferred for international trades. Returns accepted only if the watch is misrepresented. I have many feedback on OF if you search "MikeMan2727" in the Seller Profile and Reviews section!
