So i reluctantly decided to attend an estate sale with my father this past weekend. Luck for me I came across this find laying in an old box.

What do you guys think of the dial?

Haven't opened it up, but what's eveyones guess to year?

    That’s a nice find.
Dial looks great and the hands as well. Authentic in my eyes.
My guess is around late 1950’s to early 1960’s.

no date, perfect balance dial to me. some rough edges on the lugs, might be goldcapped case.
big teeth crown looks original to the watch. interesting to see the caliber, could be 3 or 5 series.
    nice find.

Is there lume on the dial... it’s hard to tell.

Would be odd to have lumed hands in combination with a non-lumed dial.

I love thread titles like this. You might find absolutely anything and this one did not disappoint. Looks a real beauty, date 1959-1962 judging by the S in Seamaster.

The marker ends appear stepped for lume so not inconsistent with the hands.

Looks nice, I also like the lugs. Could be a 14700 with cal. 552?

    Good find :)
Looking forward to seeing the ref of this one. No T's point to a late fifties/early sixties date, but I could be off.

    Possibly US market?

Very nice find! The only thing I find at estate sales are Beenie Babies and trays of crappy flatware. And can’t forget the 70’s crock pot with mushrooms on it.

    Nice one!
I had one of those few years ago. The dial is same at least, not sure about the case. Mine was from 1959.

Ya I plan on opening it sometime this week when I have a chance to sit down. I put a cheap leather on it and it had kept almost perfect time for 48hours -1min.

I found it along with a mans navy officer issued sword and uniform. Fitting everyday day watch for a seaman. I wish I knew more about him.
