Was using escrow.com pretty straightforward? Are there any "gotchas" to be aware of?

It takes a little time, but it's not arduous.

Both parties need to set up an account and Escrow.com requires a commercial invoice which describes what is being bought/sold. terms, shipping etc. You will need the usual information that customs would require.

The Website is intuitive and helpful and you can speak with someone on the phone.

If you were in the same position again as a buyer, would you choose escrow.com or PayPal Goods & Services with buyer protection?

I have not looked into PayPal Goods & Services, but I am comfortable with escrow.com
