After being delayed a week due to 'Weather' the little enicar finally arrived. The box seems to have been crushed and taped back together.

Good thing the seller double boxed it.

The inside box was also a bit crushed.

Fortunatly it was also packed in some sort of synthetic cotton wool.

Cute little thing. And it is little at 20mm across. I gave it a couple winds and it ticks. The date seems to set. Downside is the case is gilt. I do have some red leather from a pipe organ. Not sure when I am going to get around to cleaning it, or making a strap. I have three similar ladymatics and two ladies dynamics still in the queue.

The landerons keep breeding like rabbits.

Still this fills a gap in the collection. Even if it does not help with the case and dial I also have.

Did we know that you were anticipating the arrival of an Enicar?

I may have missed something.

Glad to hear it arrived safe and sound, though the package does seem unnecessarily brutalized.

The rant was buried in the Fex ex lost my watch thread. It was the waiting that lead me to the Apple PoS brick. Sorting landeron cases probably lead me to forget to mention this one. It is easy to get distracted by something shiny and old.

Watches around here seem to pop up like weeds. At least I got rid of the Bulova farm. A dozen watches I no longer have to think about. No regrets there.

I really like that 1950s retro enicar logo look.

You plan to wear this Lady watch ? Therefore the arrival was anticipated ? And: I will never understand why on Earth in our time of rising petrol, transport, container shortages, Air line overcrowding aso. , somebody sends a rather Micky Mouse sized watch double boxed in an big outer box that could hold 100's of these....Strange times.

I like Enicar. I don't have a nice collectible example, but it's a good runner. I ought to take it out for a spin more often.

I have about 20 of them, very under appreciated brand when it comes to standard dress watches.
The watch world is crazy if it says Sherpa the sky is the limit for pricing but the same watch ( case, movement and dial) with out the magic words is less than a 1/10 th, such is the silly collecting world.

Could you take some better shots of the dial? I am not sure if this is genuine or redial tbh.
Other than that, I know the feeling of waiting for a good Enicar 😁

My wife picked these up last year. They have nice casebacks. The smaller one works. The automatic does not.
