A nice vintage Egotrix diver from the late 60's or early 70's with a clean, colorful dial showing attractive patina on the lume. The lume plots on the dial and hands have all aged to a consistent, pleasing color and the orange seconds hand adds a bit of zip. It has been a fun piece to wear, and has added a bit of color to my spring, summer and autumn rotation, but it’s time to move it on. The black bezel, which rotates smoothly bidirectionally, shows wear around the outer diameter. The Bezel lume pip was added by me by using a tinted waterproof glue. While it looks convincing- at least it has to several friends- it’s never going to glow. The stainless steel case is in nice condition and has a brushed satin finish on the tops of the lugs. Case edges are sharp and appear to be original. The outer edge of the case back is stamped "SWISS MADE WATERPROOF ANTIMAGNETIC INCABLOC AUTOMATIC STAINLESS STEEL" with "20 ATM" stamped in the center. The inside of the case back is stamped "4157." The crystal is clean and unmarked The movement is a 27 jewel ETA 2789 automatic, with its hand-winding option accessed with the crown unscrewed to first position. The quickset day and date features are adjusted by the screw-down crown pulled out to its second position. The day wheel is in Italian. Time is set by pulling the crown out to its third position. I had the watch serviced in June of 2017 while in my posession. It continues to run nicely with good timekeeping, and all functions working correctly. It has been worn in rotation since that service. This watch measures 37 mm across the case excluding the screw down crown. A navy blue rubber dive strap is installed, which compliments the blue color on the dial's minute ring.
