I'm always a bit surprised how much attention/debate the selection of a paid endorser gets to be honest.

I think RJ started the whole thing because he wants to make sure Omega is spending their money on people he would actually like to meet at some of these events and this guy doesn't quite measure up. (Where's the tongue in cheek emoticon?)

That being said, the next thread will be about how Omega should start expanding into branding that associates the water resistance of their watches with SI swimsuit models. 馃榿

Speaking of, I'm actually surprised Keith Urban isn't an ambassador.

I've got to give him credit for keeping it in the family, he wears a DSOTM, PO and Ploprof regularly on American Idol. Clearly not the ratings monster it was in its heyday, but still an opportunity for several million people each week to make an association with Omega.

Now you're on to something!!..... they could have the event coincide with the introduction of their new watch line... the 'Divorce-Master'...

I have read every post in this thread....

Personally - I buy because i 'want' not because a person is a brand ambassador. Granted the astronauts etc kinda come with the speedy history but aside from that i buy due to the looks and want of a certain piece.

Interesting to see other peoples thoughts though.

Some how think the heroin addict persona of Keith years ago slows him up a bit
