Nice pictures, never spotted the difference in dial finishing. To me the grainy finishing looks ways better!

I personally prefer the '64. The '65 dial just looks a bit worn to me and I don't really know why. I think the watch just pops a bit with the smoother dial.

On another note, that blue bezel is absolutely incredible. One of my goals is to get a 321 Speedmaster with a non-black bezel. The 145.022 I currently have has a ghost bezel that's faded to a dark gray that looks silver under bright sunlight, but I've seen Speedmasters with dark green and dark blue bezels that look incredible. The dark green is especially spectacular.

I am trying to accelerate my “falling in love with vintage watches phase" it's not there yet but it's coming. With that in mind I choose the 64 as I prefer the texture of the dial and it looks in better condition to my utterly novice eyes.
