And so help requested. I recently posted a 105.003-63 with a presumed A6bis dial. I receved the watch today, and now I am a little suspicious. Firstly, the two dots astride the 12 marker overlap the dial step, whereas in my other speedies the dots are just on the inside of the step, but do not overlap it. Also, I note that the minute hashmarks do not quite go all the way down to the step. Finally, with the loupe I see that the subdials are quite shallow, even slightly more shallow than on my 2998-4. So, is there something fishy in the state of Denmark?
interesting. take a look here for some observations.. some similar dials there. https://omegaforums.net/threads/omega-speedmaster-blue-dial.23045/ are the shorter minute markers some kind of alternative dial? different batch or something?
Interesting!! And thanks. Some of those certainly look like mine. For whatever it's worth, the minute hashes are all very evenly spaced from the step. If this a redial it is remarkably fine in the detail. I am beginning to hate my loupe
Even with the authoritative MWO out there, I think that the history of Omega using different suppliers etc., there is certainly room for 'odd' looking components to be entirely kosher. Yes, ditch the loupe and enjoy it on your wrist!
