Found this in my grandfathers box of things and am curious as to it’s origins. The dial says omega automatic and the box says Mod. Deposé however there is a strange stamp I’m unable to identify. There is no model number on the rear , only my grandfathers name and date. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It's a logo of some sort. What company did he work for?

It's the logo of the Broken Hill Proprietary (BHP) Company Limited.

AIS on the caseback refers to Australian Iron & Steel, a BHP subsidiary company.

They often presented loyal employees with nice watches back in the day.

This is my Dad's Genève.

Cheers. I wasn’t sure whether the stamp was a makers / model mark of some sort or a company logo. Nice looking watch you have there. Still a looker.

Solved a while back. It's Herb's Adult World and Video. 👍
