Looks like it @harrymai86 ! And seller didn't do his homework obviously, a real steal at this price.
A heuer/dugena will catch way more on an open auction, let alone a NOS one.
Trust me, when I saw that I was just minutes too late I nearly threw my phone out of the window haha. But hey, you win some you lose some right 😉.
that was a real steal, so you were late at check out ? I think it is only available on ebay Germany as I frequently search those term 😁

I have an auto search for dugena set on the eBay app. Notification popped up, I clicked on it, clicked on the pictures, was in total awe, when I clicked back to check the price it stated "you've missed this item" ::facepalm1::.

The problem with items not showing up is realy annoying, I feel you! Even if I set the parameter to "worldwide" it won't show me the items where the seller doesn't include Germany or international in his shipping options. So I'm sure that like you, I miss out on some items just because they don't show up at all.

The Chronos are gorgeous... Definitely ones to look out for! I recently picked up this humble Dugena automatic very reasonably as a bit of a beater. Love that chunky 70s aesthetic!

HI OF!

I sometimes stroll the bay for interesting "cheap" vintage chronos. I usually just searching for "valjoux" or "Landeron/lemania" etc.
So yesterday I pulled the trigger on this one .... I saw the dial and I just had to have it!

It screams funky 70's to me and if my little gamble plays out it looks like the inner dial is sunburst blue, the outer ring turned tropical and the tritium patina is just through the roof! And a Base 1000 tachyscale to top it all of!
Panda nonetheless and I see so many similarities to other watches I like in this dial.

And after all, Dugena has a little special place in my heart. After the Second World War they moved their facility's to Germany. Namely to Darmstadt, my home town where I grew up. The company's headquarters were right around my neighborhood and I remember this building from an early age on. Also my first "real" automatic wristwatch was a Dugena Diver, that I still own and love.
Former Dugena headquarters in Darmstadt:

It seems not many people are into Dugena, albeit their early vintage chronos command premium prices these days! But generally they can still be found considerably cheap, especially in Germany!

I'd love to see pictures of other OF' members Dugenas, if there are any?

Some more pictures of my watch, better ones will follow when it arrives next week 😉.

Cheers,

Max

unusual looking case with a great great looking heuer meets breiting 70's dial.

Bumping this thread as I recently took the plunge and bought this funky chrono (1969? Early 70s?). Valjoux 7734 inside. Freshly serviced and on a new rally strap.

Has a look of the 1970s Breitling Bullhead but the rounded case is more 60s style - it’s a modest 36mm diameter watch and only 18mm lug width.

Very happy to have picked up one of these. Any other Dugenas out there?

And this one arrived this morning and will go off for service tomorrow: a cool Reverse Panda 7733 to go with my 7734 “Brown Sugar” above!

What a sizzling hunk of seventies style! 👍 Where did you get the strap, if you don’t mind me asking?

Hi, the strap came with the watch years ago, but I just googled. It is a Di-Modell „Rallye waterproof“ 20mm. The strap is very well made and I find it highly attractive. They cost EUR 34 at watch-band-center.com plus shipping. IMO definitly worth it.

Beautiful - thanks. It really sets off that dial.
