BTW, the Subbie performed flawlessly for the next 23 years, despite being used as a tool watch 24/7 in some extremely harsh environments.

So the bang on the wall sorted out those issues you had them, thankfully my Seamaster has performed very well without having to have this drastic action applied to it. 馃榿 馃榿 馃榿 馃榿 馃榿

I think the OP is fortunate. A friend of mine dropped his SMP 300 from the same height and it landed right on the crown, which broke along withe the tube. By the time he was done with the repair and full service, he was into it for close to $1000 CAD (taxes incl.).

If the watch kept good time, and the date change time was the only issue, I would live with it and mention it when it was due for service to ensure that it is corrected then.

I bet he threw like a girl. And Rolex still couldn't pass the NASA tests. ::stirthepot:: Easy now, Rolex fans. Just kidding. 馃榾

Update:
I called Omega service and they said they would send me a box. About a week later I called back saying I had not received the box, and the woman on the phone said she would email me a shipping label so that I could print it and send in the watch myself. I never received that email, so now I am just going to my local AD this weekend to drop the watch off. Not sure if this is a common occurrence but I am a little upset about how this all panned out.
