I’ve been looking around for curved spring bars to fit drilled lug holes for my 16570. My curved bars with shoulders obviously don’t work and I was wondering if anyone here had encountered this. Some of my Natos are too think to fit under the standard spring bar……Or if there is somewhere to buy shoulderless curved spring bars that fit Rolex drilled lugs?

    Thanks in advance

Have you considered lightly bending a straight spring bar? I have done so in the past, works fine. Use a bar that is 1mm longer than the width.

yes I read about people using a spoon to bend one but wanted to confirm with someone on here first. I’ll order some 21mms and try. Thank you for the help!

Does this compromise the structural integrity of the spring bar?

The spring bars in JLC Master compressors are curved (21mm). Curved spring bars are readily available and they are strong.

it def will but also depends on how and which point u bend the spring bar. avoid the ends as it potentially jams the push pins

    Update.
I have found a tool that works amazing for this. You can see in the picture below my before and after, trying to curve the spring bar with a spoon and then this tool. It works wonders. It’s about $15 usd plus $5 shipping. www.esslinger.com

    Update 2,

While this may be the spring bars that I’m using (non OEM). This tool seems to keep the spring from applying pressure after the bend. I’ve used 21mm for 20mm and they didn’t bend it enough to fit. Used 20mm and the ends wouldn’t extend fully.

Those are the same bars, one bent and one not. Not sure how to get a “flatter” entry from inside out?

What am I missing? Throw out the NATO or use a thinner spring bar?

My Seiko explorer also has super close drilled lugs and getting a nice pass through strap on it means I had to order curved spring bars…

mill tell you how they fit with the drilled lugs
