That Auctioneer was offering a "Prototype" about 6 months ago which was discussed here. That watch sold for a big money and - interesting - the pictures are no longer on Auctionneers' website.

A new watch advertised as Prototype appeared on their website. I'm uploading pictures for posterity, all are Auctioneers' property :

I do not know much about the calibre 1045 sample watches and don't really recall the stories of the watches they refer to, at Christies and the other one. Maybe somebody has some links handy?

And let's discuss this one 馃榾

This one reminds me of a watch I once owned and sold for 700 Euros about ten years ago:

Apologies for stating the obvious here : Looks no different to me then any of the hundreds of Lemania made 110XXs (case reference) that contain the Lemania 5100 (or 5012) and that may have a bezel (so double case reference with e.g. 11015)...including all parts.

Here is a nice 'summary'.

25k ::facepalm1:: My world-timer must be worth 100...and yours 200!

According to the Fratello article the Christie鈥檚 one got an extract that said it was a prototype. You鈥檇 have to wonder why this seller wouldn鈥檛 do the same. I still wouldn鈥檛 pay that much money for it but at least having the extract gives it some legitimacy

There's a whole world between requesting something and getting something; and this seller isn't Christie's.

Or there's another good reason 馃槜
