Ok let me be straight up. Got my cortisone shot which is problematic for the first 24-48 hours after I get it. I tend to order watches I wasn’t planning on. I think this is a relatively new release from Doxa I always like the look and style. This is a 42mm case but 46mm lug to lug which I kinda like tends to give it the chunky monkey look I like with seikos. So I find myself debating this in my head. I’m not asking that dumb “should I buy this” just curious if anyone has picked one up and has a review. I think it’s “low end” for Doxa, 38 hr power reserve and darn if I didn’t forget the movement.

I just have a hankering for a Doxa and an orange dial. I’ve been admiring Doxa for a while from afar.

The Sub 300s are ETA 2824-2, which was my guess based on your post. It is a very recognizable watch. I was in the middle lane of Layfette Ave. and saw one walking down the sidewalk. Well, on the arm of someone walking down the sidewalk.

I guess that was "admiring from afar" as well.

I’ve recently picked up a lightly used Sub300 having tried on a 200 (I love the C cases) What I can say about both is the incredible value for money. Well made and feel great on the wrist. Mine has added bonus of COSC eta.

Funny you say that. I had a similar Doxa encounter despite not owning one I could tell from a distance the dude had one. I’m not one for flashy watches but certain styles I can’t resist. The Seiko helmet isn’t exactly low key but I have three now. Also the orange dials really grab me. Thanks for the input.
