·Took my vintage DJ 1601 (two tone) in for service. Reputable AD for several brands, said to use genuine Rolex parts. My 1601 crown is gold and has a line under the crown. Which I understand to be accurate for a 1601.
The watchmaker said the crown needed to be replaced, and the new crown is gold, but has two dots underneath the crown. I see conflicting things about the two dots online. But most often that the two dots mean the crown is white gold. But my crown is clearly yellow gold.
Any thoughts?
