The "personal name" displayed on this forum was simply reproduced from another forum, so it's hardly a privacy breach.
There were two "personal names" I could see in that post– one potential scammer and one person warning about a potential scam. If the latter is the person who made a new account on OF to complain, they can rest assured we are not impugning their good name- in the slightest. And we agree with their judgment of the authenticity of the watch. If it was the former who joined us today, . Addendum: I missed so more likely

I imagine the faker asking himself : “now where should I write Omega on the movement? Ah, f*ck it, I’ll just stamp it sideways over the S of seventeen jewels... should do the trick.” Lmao
From a recent https://omegaforums.net/threads/help-identifying-vintage-omega-seamaster.115127/ thread: variant on our old favorite, but with the ****rare**** (non "Antimagnetic") dial! ...... Is it worth posting variants of this? Or is there nothing valuable to gain but schadenfreude?
How can you tell a fake to the untrained eye looks convincing just the back looks a bit off but im a newbie to the vintage watches scene
I would value opinions on thIs 1967 De Ville which I am in the process of buying, just in case it is not what I think it is before I part with my cash. I am told it has not been polished and the dial is original. Thanks for looking and helping out.
Sorry still learning. I posted one in the vintage forums on Saturday but thought it was in the wrong place, perhaps I was right from the outset.
