Why do you say its fake?
If you'll post your question in a thread not marked "Not for questions", I'm sure you'll get an answer.

Yes I understand.. In any case.. I don't know how useful this thread is if you don't just mention what makes this watch fake. It would help other amateurs like me who are trying to buy a new watch .. so that we dont create a new thread everytime we want to check the authenticity of a watch we see on Ebay..

cheers and thank you

That’s some bad stuff, and incredible sad that people are bidding without doing any research. What sucks is they will realIze they got burned at some point and scare them off from enjoying the hobby further

I hope this is not Fugazi
If you’re asking, you want to make a new thread in the modern omega forum for the inquiry. This thread is for known fakes to warn others.

Here are some tips to help you avoid purchasing a fake vintage Omega.

Here's a classic fake Seamaster:

First, you won't find "antimagnetic" or a jewel count on the dial of any Seamaster. Second, that's one crappy movement. Omega copper plated their movements since the word Seamaster has been used on the dial. Third, Omega never put the hallmarks (like the Ω WATCH Co inside the triangle or the 18K 0.750) you see on this watch's caseback on the outside - they were always on the inside.

Thread it came from: http://omegaforums.net/threads/seamaster-elecromagnetic.6234/

Here's another example in a different case:

Bottom line: ASK BEFORE YOU BUY! Part of the reason this forum exists is to help less experienced people buy decent vintage watches without getting ripped off. We don't even charge! It's a FREE service!

I discovered this forum after I purchased from a Dutch auction house - thinking I had done adequate research - but I want to check now even though the horse has bolted. Can I simply upload the pictures and ask my queries .

This is my first post - I am sure you can tell!
