Not 100% sure if this passes the bar for "fake," but the movement is a Lemania 1873 that's been prepped to look like a genuine Omega movement. The other parts look okay though.

I've been concerned about this one too. I'm not an expert but it looks like all but a couple of movement parts are from an 1873.

Based on some recent discussions on OF there's also a concern the bezel could be a repro (one I seem to have fallen for myself 🤦).

@Archer, I've seen you describe use of lemania movements as a particularly pernicious method of faking speedmasters. Does this seem to fit the bill?

Artificially aged, fake-kit, grey dial "Seanaster" 120 on C24: https://www.chrono24.com/omega/omega-seamaster-120-vintage-manual-wind-135027--id10905254.htm

This is my first time reporting a watch on C24, not sure how responsive they are about removing them, but maybe it's worth a shot. (Edit: I'm guessing they're not too responsive or diligent, since there were 2 more of the same style fakes linked to at the bottom of this listing.)

Love the “randomly“ applied scratching to make it look worn- all done with the same tool- and even inside the case back!

I reported it about 6 months ago an it's still there. At that time there were 5 fakes, now there are 3 with these:

I think it's worth calling more attention to what this seller has done to artificially 'age' this watch. This is one of the stupidest things I've ever seen in the watch world. It's like the seller has never seen wear damage before. How do you think he achieved this result - with a nail?

I feel the same way with the artificially aged furniture and the whole shabby-chic style. Take a lovely mid century teak table, paint it white, then sand the edges and make it look worn and tattered...WTF?!?!

There Is no more picture. I guess I will need some more if it pass your 1st exam 😀
I have some doubts about the dial, the lume...but I am really not an expert so I prefer to ask.

If by chance this was to be the real thing, what would be according to you a decent price (I mean for the seller too as being a newbie I don't want to be rude and prefer realistic discussion from the beginning) ?

Thanks for your help !
Hi @YYTIN - this thread is just for posting known fakes to caution the general public. You should start a new thread in the vintage forum and copy and paste your post there. Best of luck
