Hi fellow collectors.I'm looking to buy a new watch for my wife and can quite decide on a DolceVita or a Symphonette. So any views or experience of either would be appreciated. Here are the two models I'm looking at.

Hi, as a female Longines enthusiast I feel compelled to reply so you don’t think people are ignoring your question.
I personally like the look of the Equestrian line. Unfortunately I have no experience with these watches.

My wife would reject both as too ornate. Secondly I have been conditioned never to buy her jewelry without her input. ::facepalm1::

Definitely need to seek her opinion.

I too have been "conditioned". The one time I bought my wife a watch, her first response after opening it was "Why?" 😕

Same here, she has very particular tastes when it comes to watches and jewelry. She's not demanding, but she is picky about it when she does have the choice.

I look at it the same way as having my wife pick a vintage watch to buy for me. She'd probably choose one of the brands I usually stick to, but would have no idea about redials, patina, movement, etc.
