It appears that my package is doing a victory lap of the US before it makes its way to foreign shores. As far as I can tell it still hasn't started its journey across the pond😵‍💫

Yes, it stopped by my town and I wore it for a bit. I repacked it and sent it on its way… It did not suit me…

If it stops by in New Mexico I'll toss some Hatch Chiles at it.

I’m honestly not sure what’s going on with this. All outbound international packages I have shipped have departed through Los Angeles as that is several hours away. This must’ve been loaded on the wrong truck and I haven’t stopped watching it. I called USPS during that long break between Memphis scans and they assured me it is still en route. This shipment has me wearing a divot in my screen…

Don't stress it. Not your fault, glad we didn't pay for the fuel😀

As the shipper, it’s mildly amusing 😉 Specially when seeing it charted on a map

I kid you not. I've seen one of them, even held it in my hands.

Sitting in a 380 on descent into Paris a couple of years ago, I noticed the guy in the aisle seat was wearing a big gold watch. I just caught it in my peripheral vision as I hadn't noticed it at all during the trip from Singapore.

"Nice watch" I said, pointed at his, then at my Speedie to establish "watch nerd vibes".
He seemed very pleased that I'd noticed his baby, then he proceeded to take it off and hand it to me. As soon as I saw it close up I had that sinking feeling, but I was a brave soldier and inspected it closely, all the while going "Hmmmm, nice".

He was so obviously enchanted with it so I just gave it back to him saying "Don't lose that one, it's a keeper!".

I still wake with cold sweats after dreaming that he gave it to me as we left the plane 😁.

Reminded me of the following tracking. The parcel was intended to go from Europe to Northern USA. Somehow, it all went south (literally as well as figuratively) after their sorting facility in Kentucky. I mean, are Hawaii and Australia really en route from Kentucky to Maine….?

Good luck for yours, I hope it’ll make it eventually!

For us EBAY punters in Australia who buy from the USA we’re accustomed to everything going via Erlanger KY. I’ve had/seen some fantastic journeys. The pieces bought in the PNW that went backwards to KY. Or the one that from Florida to Kentucky to Northern Africa back to Erlanger then via San Fran, Hawaii, Guam, Hong Kong, Sydney, before finally reaching Melbourne where it sat in a mail sorting centre for 12 days.

on the flip side I bought a watch from Brazil and had it in 8 days …

Combine any logistics carrier with any airline and a foreign postal service and you have a recipe for shipping that is cryptic at best. I've shipped watches from the US to the EU that arrived anywhere between 4 days and three months from the date of shipment. Hint: do NOT ship anything to Poland using the USPS.

I believe those times to be local times, Hawaii should be 4-5 hours behind Kentucky, so that might actually be correct. This might also be the explanation why the parcel arrived at LA before it left Australia 😁

Omega isnt the only company that provides "A Journey Through Time".

Once flew from Melbourne to Hawaii and arrived the same time I left…like a teleportation 😁

I’m just happy it’s making forward progress. I have only experienced the Los Angeles and New York USPS international centers, so I had to look up what it was doing in Florida… turns out, there is an international center there too…

The unfortunate thing with this delivery is it is taking forever. I was quoted 7-14 days, which seems like standard USPS quotes for international delivery… this is going on 17 days now. It took 8 days between Departed Memphis to Arrived and Memphis scans…

I had an art print from the UK to the US earlier this year sit at the Chicago ISC for about two weeks before it finally moved. They always claim they are short of staff. Nothing you can do but wait, you are at their mercy.
