Does this refinished lug stand out to you?

Hi everyone,

I'm about to buy a Silver Snoopy Award. It's in very good condition, comes with the stainless steel bracelet, and is just over a year old.

So far, everything sounds perfect.The only small issue—and I want to point out that the seller was completely upfront about it—is that one of the lugs on the left side of the watch had to be refinished after it was badly scratched when it rubbed against a wall.

Personally, it doesn't really bother me since the price reflects it, but I'd like to know whether, to experts like you, it's something that immediately stands out.

Who did the refinish? Graining looks off to me (but may be the photo).

Dont they laser weld it first to add enough material to polish so the lines/shapes remain intact ? I dont really see a difference to be honest.

He just sent me another photo with less reflection.

To be completely honest, I don’t see anything either, but I still wanted to get the opinion of the experts on this forum 😉

I am very picky what fit and finish is concerned, and with my best effort I can't see anything. I suppose, Omega can refinish the case to the factory level. Respect to the seller for telling you that.

Looks absolutely fine. Wouldn't hesitate to pull the trigger, as long as the price is right.

Looks better in the second photo. Omega will refinish to factory standard. Do you have before pics?

Unfortunately, I don't have any before photos. The seller told me the scratch was quite deep, you could easily feel it when running your finger over it.

As was said its not a vintage Rolex, it looks good to me but I don't know enough to even say of it looks bad.

The price reflects it, and its a watch not the hope diamond it will get scratched.
