·My understanding is that they do not, which makes no sense to me, but can someone confirm whether this is correct? If they do not, suggestions for best insurer for high value items >$5,000 for US domestic shipments, please? Thanks.
Parcel Pro…You will need to apply and be accepted. Its not hard. Easy to use once a member. You will need however to correctly estimate the shipping cost if you are quoting a delivered price.
You can always use the US Postal system, you can get coverage up to $50,000. Somewhat slow due to their custody handling procedures for high value items, but ultimate safety. Have used them several times for >$20k watches, never an issue.
$50000 for jewellery? Watches are in that category. Have you ask specifically if Watches are covered for 50k?
Yes, they are for registered mail in the US. Slow but secure and inexpensive.
Ahh...., Inside the USA only. Thanks.
Wasn’t there a thread asking if securus ever payed out a claim which the owner, who was in the thread wouldn’t answer.
I dislike insurance companies but I insured a priority plus (overnight) at the usps. It was for 2,700 I think my bill including shipping was 60 bucks. This may not be pertinent to the subject as it wasn’t a watch but I didn’t see anything stating jewelry and or watches can’t be shipped the same.
