Hi All,

First time post for me, but a long time reader of all the insightful, and sometimes funny discussions on here.

Hoping for a bit of advise to identify an old Omega watch. It was a piece that I purchased some 5 years ago, and due to the small size my wife has enjoyed. I have search images on Google and can see some similar pieces but nothing quite the same. Tried dating the watch using the serial number on the movement and think it dates to 1934?

Anyway, any information would be useful.

Please don't post duplicate threads on the same subject...

I cannot remember the reference number, but it is a fairly common pre-war Omega. I have seen it a number of times on OF.

If you use google pictures and type "vintage Omega cal. 26.5" you could see if you can find a matching watch and research from there. It is the case shape, not the dial design, that is important.

Yes, definitely a 26.5 SOB.
Looks like a ref MI 2102 or 2089 (depending on whether it is 28.5 or 30.5mm diameter)
Here in a 1940 French catalog, with different hands and dial :

I need to dig out a picture of mine to say hello...

Thank you ConElPueblo, apologies for the duplicate post, just finding my way around the forum and noticed the Vintage Watch forum and thought that would be more relevant.

Thank you for the info, from the kind folks in the OF I have good idea on this piece.
