Does anyone know if these bracelets interchange on these two Seamasters?

The second generation bracelet will fit on the first generation Seamaster if you use a thinner/shorter spring bar, but it leaves a good portion of the lug exposed as the bracelet sits lower.

I did not try to fit my first generation bracelet onto my second generation case, and I have since traded my first generation Heritage for a 1863 speedy.

See this thread for 2nd gen bracelet on first gen case:

I assume it could be made to fit but my assumption would be that the bracelet would be significantly higher than the lugs. That's the best theory I've got based upon what I have tried in the past!

I wonder if the bracelets are interchangeable if you reuse the original endlink only (and then reverse polish it)....

The aggressive taper to 16mm is much nicer on the newer one

New generation uses a removable end link that is held onto the bracelet by the spring bar, the first generation was completely integrated to the bracelet. In addition, the first gen has a male centerlink and the second gen has a female centerlink... so they aren't compatible even if someone removed the first gen end link.

Probably the best solution would be to have a third party create a new end link for the first gen case, to fit the second gen bracelet. I bet someone could do it...

I was afraid you’d say that. There goes that project…

Count two of us that would love to see this done. I tolerate the 1st gen's bracelet, but the protruding endlink has always been its design weakpoint.

I'd be curious what it would take to machine a new endlink for the 233.30 case, that would work with the 2nd gen bracelet. I'm sure someone could do it.

While we’re on the bracelet topic: anyone have a rough idea what either the 1st or 2nd generation bracelet would cost from the dealer?

It should be $725ish through an AD or boutique. You'd probably have to wait a couple of weeks for it to come in after they order it.

Someone take my money and make this happen
